What are the legal requirements to get married in Australia?To be legally married in Australia, you must:
Lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month before your ceremony
Be at least 18 years old
Provide original identification (passport or birth certificate + photo ID)
Be divorced or widowed legally if previously married

As your authorised celebrant, I guide you through each legal step and lodge all required documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages Queensland after your ceremony.

How early should we lodge our Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)?The NOIM must be lodged a minimum of one month before your wedding day.
You can lodge up to 18 months in advance, which is helpful for popular Gold Coast and Brisbane dates.
I will assist you with the form, paperwork checks, and identity verification to ensure compliance with the Marriage Act 1961.

Do we need council permits for park or beach weddings?Yes, in most cases, especially on the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

What if we forget our vows?I always bring backups.

Are beach weddings allowed without a permit?On the Gold Coast, all beach ceremonies must be booked with council. Rangers may move unbooked setups.
For Brisbane, there are no ocean beaches, but riverfront parks still require bookings for ceremonies with equipment or guests.


 What documents do we need to provide?You will need:
Passport or birth certificate + photo ID
Divorce order (if previously married)
Death certificate of former spouse (if widowed)

 Do you personalise the ceremony?Yes — every ceremony is crafted to reflect your story, style, and personalities.

How long does a typical wedding ceremony go for?Most Gold Coast and Brisbane ceremonies run 20–25 minutes, depending on readings, rituals and family involvement.


Do you provide a PA system and music support?Yes — I provide a professional wireless PA system suitable for:
Beach weddings
Park ceremonies
Indoor venues
You can play all music via Bluetooth or USB.

What happens if we postpone our wedding?You can move your date at no additional cost (subject to availability).
Council permits may need to be updated depending on your chosen location.

Tweed Coast (NSW requirements apply)
I am always willing to travel to you too (domestically, or internationally)  (Travel fee's apply) 

Do we need witnesses?Yes — two witnesses aged 18 or older must be present and able to understand English.
If you’re eloping, I can assist with arranging witnesses.


 Do you lodge the marriage with the Queensland Registry?Yes — I lodge all required documents with BDM Queensland.
